Liverpool are hoping to beat Arsenal to Barcelona's Pedro and are
prepared to outbid the Gunners. The Liga giants are believed to be
prepared to accept €32m for the Spain international.
Real Madrid are preparing to bid £20 million (€25m) for Tottenham
goalkeeper Hugo Lloris as they seek a long-term replacement for Iker
Casillas.
Reports suggest the centre-back has become unsettled at
Barcelona and could be open to a move, with Chelsea, Manchester United
and Manchester City all said to be interested in his signature.
Arsenal and Liverpool are both eyeing a move for Asier Illarramendi,
who is struggling for game time at the Bernabeu. However, boths clubs
may face competition from AC Milan.
The German champions are said to have been training with
three defenders - Benatia, Boateng and Bernat - in preparation for the
clash against Dortmund. Arjen Robben is expected to start the match from
the bench.
Liverpool will offer Steven Gerrard a new contract in the coming
weeks - but the club captain may be forced to accept a reduced role at
Anfield beyond the current campaign.
